Do I need to be a group admin?

No. Anyone in the group can export it, and one export is enough.

Will the names look like they do on my phone?

They come from your export, so they match how the contacts are saved on your phone. You can change any of them before the film is made.

Which messages count?

Only 2026 messages, even if the group is years old.

WhatsApp group chat Wrapped: the group's 2026 film, free

Make a free 2026 film of your WhatsApp group: who talks most, who vanished, who sends the most photos, the burst record, top stickers and emoji.

Cover of a WhatsApp Wrapped film

Every group has the one who never stops, the one who vanished in March and the one who answers everything with a sticker. WhatsApp Wrapped turns the group’s chat into a vertical film of about a minute, with music, made to be sent straight back to the group.

What a group film shows #

who talked most, and who came second;
who vanished: the longest silence and who broke the ice;
who sends the most photos, videos and links;
the burst record: most messages in a row, in the shortest time;
prime time and the busiest day of the year;
the group’s emoji, top stickers and voice notes.

How to make it #

Export the group with media, so the stickers come along: guides for Android and iPhone.
Open WhatsApp Wrapped and pick the .zip.
Check the names, fix any contact saved under a strange name, and choose the music.
Keep the page open while the film is made on your device, then share it in the group.

When the group needs more than a film #

For a written account of what the group decided or argued about, read how to summarize a WhatsApp group. To keep the whole thing with photos and transcribed voice notes, Zap2Doc turns it into a PDF.
