About Zap2Doc
Zap2Doc turns a WhatsApp export into a PDF someone can actually read: messages in order, photos and documents where they were sent, voice notes transcribed in place. People use it to hand a conversation to someone else — a lawyer, a client, an insurer, an accountant — or to keep it for their own records.
Why it exists
WhatsApp's own export is a text file and a folder of loose attachments. It is complete, but nobody can read it, print it or cite it by page, and the voice notes are just audio files. Zap2Doc puts that material back together as a document, without changing what it says.
Who makes it
Zap2Doc is built and operated by Codestrom Ltda., a software company registered in Brazil and founded in 2018 by Sam Rodrigues.
Codestrom develops software for clients across North America, Europe and Asia, with expertise in document management, data processing and interactive audiovisual experiences. A WhatsApp export needs all three: its text parsed and its dates read correctly, its photos, documents, audio and video put back in place, and the result laid out as a document that holds up to a careful read.
How we work
You see it before you pay
Every upload gets a free preview of the real document. You decide after seeing it.
Your files do not stay
In the individual converter the export is deleted within 24 hours and the PDF 7 days after it is generated. We don't use your conversations to train anything. Is it safe to upload a WhatsApp chat?
We say what the document is not
The PDF is a presentation of your export. It is not authentication, a forensic examination, chain of custody or legal advice. The PDF explained part by part
Machine output is labelled
Transcriptions are automatic and marked as such, so a reader always knows which words are the people's and which are the machine's.
